There are two steps to choosing and using color on your Web site. The first is to select the colors to use and the second is to actually put them to work in your Web site design
In the first part of this series we looked at ways that you can find and select color schemes for your online store design. In this second article, we’ll look at how you can utilize these color schemes in your Web application and in design tools such as Photoshop
Sometimes you might want to use a color from a photograph, or another image, or your business logo. You can do this by opening the image in your graphics program, for example, into Photoshop. Once there, use the Color Picker tool by clicking the foreground swatch and click on the color in the image that you want to sample.
Creating color schemes and setting up your software to make these colors easily accessible will speed up the process of creating your Web site and we’ll cover the basics to get you going, and provide some handy reference tools and resources
